What are LIFE Groups?
Family LIFE groups is a small groups ministry of Lamar Avenue that encourages
families to grow closer in their relationship with God and build Christian
relationships with one another. LIFE is an acrostic that stands for Love,
Involvement, Fellowship, Evangelism. LIFE groups meet September through
May in the homes of members and are facilitated by trained leaders. Groups
meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month for about two hours.

Relationships...
In a church the size of Lamar Avenue, we find that small groups are a great way
to get to know each other better and to form long lasting relationships with one
another. Groups are comprised of individuals and families of all age categories
in our church (each group will vary in size depending on guests and new
members). New groups are formed periodically to further nurture relationships
with other families.

Nurture & Support
It is our prayer that through our LIFE groups we can seek to take better care
of our members when they hurt, suffer loss, or have special needs. It is also our
prayer that we can spread the Good News of Jesus to our neighborhoods and
community.
Each LIFE group plans meaningful activities that will enable its members to
become more intimate with each other and the Lord. Activities vary from
group to group, but usually include:
- coordinated Bible study/devotional time
-singing
-children's lessons
-sharing time
-prayer time
-service projects
-meals
